Yo

I have my annual fall quarter cold. It totally sucks.

In other news, if you haven't seen this yet:

1. go to www.google.com
2. type in the world "failure"
3. click on the "I'm feeling lucky" button

leopard
You are a LEOPARD! You are very quick to answer and
you enjoy helping people with their problems
and you are friendly and good-natured. Alot of
people are friends with you and you are greatly
loved by your family. After your work, you are
always very exhausted and you settle for a nap,
but when you're recharged, you're always ready
to get back to helping others! Keep up the good
work!

Wow

It has been a really, really long time since I last posted. Never thought a summer could get so busy. But here we are, it is fall, and I am now a married woman. If I could go back and tell my 20-year-old self that I would be married in a bit over 5 years, I think she would have laughed. Or slapped me. Probably more violence than less, actually.

But I couldn't be happier.

Well, I look forward to falling back in to the loop (no daylight savings time puns intended). How is everyone doing?

Weirdness

I just noticed that two members of Radiohead (Phil Selway and Jonny Greenwood) are going to play Weird Sisters band members in the next Harry Potter movie. Bizarre.

Oh NO.

News of a terrorist attack on London was not something I was remotely expecting to hear about today. I'm relieved to hear that pmaxgentry and Mary are fine, and deeply saddened to hear that many others are not. Does anyone have a better newssite than CNN?

the bm dress

In case you're curious, here's the dress chosen during a shopping trip with woo_tangent and 12and21:

http://www.davidsbridal.com/social_dresses_detail.jsp?stid=1231&prodgroup=54

I think it looks a bit more shiny and reflective in that picture than it actually does in real life...

The Dress

Woot! Found my dress today. Here's a link to the website picture if you're curious. Check out the alternate view.

http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns_detail.jsp?stid=958&prodgroup=127

I got it in ivory (the website pictures are in white...). I reject the gloves in the picture, and the veil I chose is far more amazing...it's cathedral length with scattered "pearls." Very dramatic.

In other productive news, I've chosen the bridesmaid dresses, put a deposit down on the caterer (whose name, incidentally, is Pierre), and ordered my invitations.

Worst computer program ever...

omfg

Well, the goddess essay appears to have come to a full and complete stop. Now for citations, and revisions on the other two. (yuck)

In other news: I appear to have caught a cold.

In other Star Wars related news: gustav, my roommate 12and21, and her boy genuinesalieri were watching "The Phantom Menace" last night. I took a break to watch the final 'saber fight and the death scene. And I just have to point out that the ONLY couple scene that seems to work in all three prequels appears to be that death scene between OB1 and Qui-Gon. Seriously. I mean, tears! Actual touching that doesn't look like stilted animatronics! No mentions of stupid Naboo lakes or Counts with dumb names or *shudder* sand!

In moderatley related news: After seminar on Tuesday, I am going to sleep for a day, then play video games for a day. Are there any awesomely cool games a la Knights of the Old Republic (in terms of genre and gameplay) for the PS2 that anyone can suggest?

In accordance with recent posts:

Alright everyone, let's see what you're made of:

:: how jedi are you? ::

Oh, and the special fields? Only 3 pages into Goddess', but with a pretty detailed outline sitting close by.

Gragh...*stomps on paper*

It's looking sort of dead. I'll check on it tomorrow morning.

The week from hell continues

So I "finished" the Manta question earlier this evening. I have found myself unable as yet to move on to the M2 question. I just can't help but find the fact that I have to go through another 2 days of paper hell...and then another 2 days after that...utterly incomprehensible.

So I guess that makes the score:

exam: 2
complainr: 1

omg chapel

Attn Amberz:

Here is the website of the chapel. Please ignore the pictures with the woman in high late 80s-early 90s fashion and scroll through the photo gallery. The picture with the concave (convex?) lens is pretty cool. Just ignore the horrid white aisle runner; I reject it. The floor is actually grey and brown stone.

Stauffer Chapel

Another one

Being post-human SUCKS

The unthinkable has happened. My laptop...the other half of my brain...has gone kaput. The power adaptor pin inside the computer has burned out, so my computer will not start due to lack of power. So I now have to send the damn thing in to Gateway Customer Service, Middle of Nowhere and pray that they get it back to me in time for my special fields.

I have been jittery all day because of my brain has been cut off from the hive consciousness. No email. No LJ. A nightmare, I tell you. Thank goodness gustav lives nearby, otherwise I'd have to drive all the way to campus just to check my damn email.
